The Baptism of Jesus
A voice of one calling in the desert, 'Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.'[
[cf Mark 1:1-5,7-11; Matthew 4:17]
WAY (moral teaching, ascetic):

[cf 1 Peter 1:13-14] Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed. As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance.
LIFE (help of the grace and virtue to be practised):
Show me, O LORD, my life's end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting is my life [cf Psalm 39:4] .
